How it works
CSAnalytics helps firms to easily determine the most straightforward and effective way to take collateral from a counterparty, reducing the time and costs associated with this analysis.
- The companion service to netalytics
- Covers every ISDA collateral opinion (50+ jurisdictions)
- Coverage of IM/VM collateral provider and taker insolvency analysis
- Considers in detail all three legal approaches to taking collateral
The service
We help users navigate the complex conflicts of laws analysis necessary to apply the content of the collateral opinions to their own particular situations.
We look at each of the key issues based on three different fact patterns:
- The counterparty is located in the jurisdiction, but the collateral is located elsewhere
- Both the counterparty and the collateral are located in the jurisdiction, and
- Only the collateral is located in the jurisdiction
Good to know
It is possible to select your legal approaches and fact patterns and view side-by-side, in relation to a particular legal approach, the position in a jurisdiction where your counterparty is located and the position where your collateral is located.
You can also compare the position in another jurisdiction with the same or different fact patterns.
In addition
CSAnalytics also covers initial margin (IM) and variation margin (VM) documentation, and includes a sub-site dedicated to the ISDA IM Collateral Taker Insolvency Opinions.

Example of how the CSAnalytics compare function works, a feature available across all aosphere products to enable a comparative view of global rules.
A unique feature of CSAnalytics is that users can select from four different legal approaches to taking collateral (New York Law Pledge, Title Transfer, English Law Security Interest, Initial Margin Documentation), and from three fact patterns relating to the location of the counterparty and the collateral and compare the results across jurisdictions:
